Literature Text

I'm hiding behind this smiling face
I hope my life doesn't go to waste
My heart crippled, ripped in two
Because you never know what you want or what to do
I stay as strong as I can
Hoping all will soon go to plan
That I will one day be in your arms
Not worrying that we will live lives apart
That we will be together, our love will last
Together until death do us part
I love you so much, that is true
But now you have got me confused and wondering what to do
As my heart is crippled, ripped in two
Because you never know what you want or what to do
My heart screaming, I have to stay
But my head shouting, you have been lead astray
Heart attached with a piece or string
Gently tugged to reel you in
But I have always believed you were not like that
Even through all the crap
I don't believe you would do it on purpose
Oh maybe I should just join the circus
Because I am still waiting patently
Hoping one day that you will be with me
